Bardi & Farid were 90s classmates when they discovered the World Wide Web together. Their friendship was on indefinite hiatus when they graduated high school. Then in 2020 — after years of speculation — a reunion was mooted. 18 months later, the right offer was finally made: the band was back together to reimagine personal productivity. Since the announcement — despite the 8 hour time difference — they’ve spoken more to each other than with their wives and children. Although no office furniture has been destroyed during these calls, they are no longer friends.

Farid is a former product manager (ex-big tech) turned full-time indie. He’s launched side hustle apps in the App Store in the past, but after quitting his comfortable job to rekindle his inner entrepreneur, he’s now finally all-in on turning his dreams into reality. He remains a passionate advocate of his last jobby job Pinterest’s mission statement “to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love”. He however felt it missed an important beat: the when. He’s building this component today.

Bardi began his career in the games industry where he developed his passion for creating immersive experiences. He took the leap as an indie a few years ago. Within six months, he shipped two award-winning apps on Android acclaimed for their original designs. He then wrote a book about his experience, so others know what the life of an indie is really like: all the highs and many lows. More recently, he’s fallen in love with SwiftUI and wants to deliver equally noteworthy experiences on the App Store.
